Martha Kathleen Hood, a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and aunt, passed away unexpectedly on December 8, 2025 at the age of 46. A lifelong resident of Claremont, Martha will be remembered for her lively personality and her unwavering devotion to her family, who were the true centerpiece of her life.

Born on February 5, 1979, Martha was the daughter of Kathleen (Bonneau) Hood and the late David K. Hood. She grew up in Claremont, where she formed deep roots .Martha's world revolved around her two cherished daughters, Myrah Sewall and Norah Sewall whom she shared with their father Timothy Sewall. Her cheerful spirit made her a magnetic presence, and her dedication to her entire family was truly remarkable.

She is survived by her loving mother, Kathleen Hood; her devoted daughters, Myrah and Norah Sewall; and her two sisters, Sarah (Donald) Page and Amy (Peter Hingston) Hood. Martha also leaves behind her great- nephew and niece, Jericho Page and Alice Page, who brought immense light to her life.

Martha is now reunited in peace with her father, David K. Hood, and her niece, Samantha E. Page, who both predeceased her.

Calling hours for Martha will be held December 15 from 5-7p.m. at Stringer Funeral Home in Claremont. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Martha's name to the Society for Protection of NH Forests. There will be a celebration of life later in the summer at the Farm on Roberts Hill Rd.
