Mary Margaret Koloski passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 6, 2023. She was born in Claremont, New Hampshire, on September 16, 1955, to Thomas A. Hastings and Margaret (Picard) Hastings.

Mary's early education was at St. Mary's School, and she later attended Stevens High School. In October 1974, she married John Koloski and together they had two children, Jessica and Nicholas. In 1989, Mary welcomed her daughter, Samantha, into the world with her companion, Joe Woodall. Her journey of love continued when she married the love of her life, Donald Aubin, in October 2013.

Mary was an extraordinary woman, known for her welcoming nature and ability to make everyone feel like family. She was affectionately called "Mom" by many. Mary proudly co-owned the family business, Time-Out Americana Grill, with her son and was actively involved in the Claremont business community. Many would recall Mary from her earlier family business, Hullabaloo where she proudly served her signature sandwich wraps and friendly conversations. Mary loved cooking for friends, family, customers, celebrities, and film crews - having been credited in many films for doing so.

During her leisure time, Mary enjoyed visiting the beautiful coast of Maine and traveling to Florida and Las Vegas with her family. One of her favorite family traditions was opening her restaurant's doors each holiday season to prepare a free hot meal for those in need. This tradition, which included gifts for children and a visit from Santa, continued for an impressive 18 years. She also had a deep commitment to shopping for hospitalized children in need each Christmas, a tradition she upheld with her son, Nicholas.

Mary was always there to lend a compassionate ear, offering her wisdom and support without hesitation. She is survived by her husband, Donald Aubin; her children, Nicholas Koloski and Samantha Woodall; her stepson, Jeff Aubin; her sister, Joyce St. Martin, and brother-in-law Jim, along with her nieces, Erin and Melissa, as well as numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Margaret Hastings, and her infant daughter, Jessica Alicia Koloski, all of whom she loved so dearly.

In lieu of flowers, Mary's family requests that you consider making a donation to a local animal rescue, a cause that was close to her heart. Calling hours will be at Stringer Funeral Home on Broad Street in Claremont on Thursday, October 19th, from 5 to 7pm. Friends and family are invited to join together at the family's restaurant, Time-Out Americana Grill, located at 101 Mulberry Street in Claremont, following calling hours. A celebration of Mary's life will be held in the spring, where we can all come together to remember and honor this remarkable woman.
