Matthew Arthur Dings Jr., 38, of Claremont, NH (formerly of Springfield, VT) passed away peacefully on Monday, August 26, 2024 at his home with his family.

He was born on June 19, 1986, the oldest child and only son of Matthew Sr and Debra Dings in Claremont, NH. As a young child, he was a shy sweet boy, who would grow into an outgoing, fun-loving athletic teen that loved playing football and being with his friends.

Matt would go on to graduate from Springfield High School in June of 2004. After graduation, he would strike out on his own, moving to California for a year before returning home.

In 2007, Matt would meet the love of his life, Kristi Snider and future stepson, Zach. As time continued along, the two lovebirds would come to welcome their daughter, Lauren Elizabeth in December 2008. Two short years later, at home with their kids, in a sweet Christmas Eve proposal, Matt would ask Kristi to be his forever and only. As the years continued, they would grow their family by adding their fur babies, Milkshake, Dozer and Nola. All of which had a special love for and bond with Matt.

Matt is survived by his fiancé, Kristi; stepson, Zach and daughter, Lauren of Claremont; his parents, Matthew and Debra Dings of Claremont; father and mother-in-law, Tom and Mary Bond of Harrisville, NY; sister and brother-in-law, Amanda and Steven Rheaume Jr of Claremont, sister and brother-in-law, Alyssa and Travis Smallwood Sr of Claremont; brother-in-law, AJ Bond of Harrisville, NY; grandmother, Beverly Kasaras of Flagstaff, AZ; also numerous nephews, nieces and aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, Leland and Carol Judd Sr., grandfather, Arthur Dings and uncle, Leland Judd Jr.

Calling hours will be held at Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont on Wednesday, September 4th from 10 to 11AM. A memorial service will be at 11AM. With a small gathering to follow at the CSB Community Center at 1PM.

In lieu of flowers and cards, Kristi and his family ask to have donations in his memory to the Sullivan County Humane Society in Claremont or a local animal shelter of one's choice. This organization was dear to his heart.
