Michael Scott Michalenoick, age 59, passed away unexpectedly, Monday, December 12th, in a tragic accident in Lebanon, NH. He was born May 15, 1963, in Claremont, NH, to parents Charles and Catherine (Yatsevich) Michalenoick

Growing up with his brothers Thomas and Chuck, mostly on Bible Hill in Claremont, Mike made many long-time friends. He attended Claremont schools, and graduated from Stevens High School in 1982. In 1989, Mike was married to Christine Rock, and welcomed their daughter, Molly Catherine in 1991. Being a kid himself, Mike loved showing Molly all the fun things in life, and taught her to ski when she could walk. His love of being outside led to many family adventures, including skiing, camping, hiking, boating and waterskiing. Mike liked to hunt, with his Dad and friends, in Vermont, New Hampshire and Colorado, but liked watching the animals more than he liked eating them. He enjoyed life's simple pleasures the most- a summer rain, the warmth of the sun in the winter. In 1989, Mike and his brothers, Tom and Chuck, opened the flooring business Carpet Mill USA, Inc., and worked at the business, until becoming more of a "hands off" business owner, and pursuing other interests. Mike sold the business just recently to long-time friend Jean-Luc Maynard. Mike also loved the challenge of building/renovating homes, and nothing encouraged him more than if someone said it couldn't be done.

Mike is survived by his parents, Charles and Catherine, of Claremont, his daughter Molly Menezes,of Hampstead, NC, brothers Thomas and Charles III, of Cornish and Unity, NH, respectively, and ex-wife Christine Randall, also of Hampstead, NC. He also leaves a girlfriend, Regina Rocke, of Enfield, and many deeply loved aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. His long-time canine companion, Buck, is missing Mike as well. If Mike were to write his own obituary, he would have instructed us to remember the laughter, the adventures, and the fun times. Although we are mourning his passing, in lieu of a funeral, we will celebrate his life at a later date in the spring or early summer. Rest easy Mike. You will be missed.
