It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Norman Ira Webb, 66, of Claremont NH, following a period of deteriorating health. As he wished, he was at home surrounded by his loving and devoted family. Norm was born on July 21, 1956 in Woodsville NH, the second son of Charlotte Viola (Elliot) and Beverly "John" Webb. He grew up and attended school in Hartland, VT and Cornish, NH. Norm graduated from Stevens High School, Class of 1974.

During his childhood, Norm spent most summers learning the meaning of hard work alongside his brother Bob, on their grandfather's Farm in East Ryegate, Vermont. He often shared fond memories of his time spent with "Grampa Elliot" growing up.

On January 17, 1976, Norm married the love of his life, his "Dolly", Diana Lee Jewell. They made their home in Claremont where they raised their daughter Abigail. They had '47' wonderful years together.

One of Norm's greatest joys in life was his granddaughter, Ashley Charlotte. They were best friends and shared a lifetime of memories together.

Norm's career focused on home construction; from designing, building and in sales of building supplies.

Norm loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter. He spent many happy hours in the woods resulting in trophy animals and many delicious meals.

Norm enjoyed sports of all kinds, both playing and watching. He was a member of the men's softball league as well as a men's bowling league in Claremont for several years. Norm was a member and board member of the Claremont Country Club for many years. He and his wife cherished the memories and friendships they made along the way. On days that they were not on the golf course they could be found touring around NH & VT on their Harley Davidson.

Norm was a devoted race fan. He enjoyed Friday night 'dates' with his daughter, Abby at the Claremont Speedway along with watching NASCAR each race season. He was a loyal fan of the Boston Red Sox, Boston Bruins and the Dallas Cowboys!

Norm was a member of the Elk's Club where he served as an officer, the Moose, the Polish Club, the NRA and Sullivan County Sportsmans Club.

Family and friends share many fond memories of camping together over the years and listening to the stories Norm would tell. He was always up for a party and could make anyone laugh. He will be remembered for his 'quick wit' to many.

Norm was predeceased by his mother, father, sister Donna & brother in law Elmer Hodgdon, sister Kim Fontaine, an infant daughter Jennifer Jo and his father in law, Milton Jewell.

Norm leaves behind his loving and devoted wife Diana, daughter Abigail Roy (Randy Greenslet), granddaughter Ashley Roy, brother Bob and his wife Tina Webb, his dear mother in law Josephine Jewell, his special brothers/sisters in law, cherished nieces & nephews, many cousins and his beloved Schnauzers, Shultz and Greta.

Services will be held April 14, 2023 at the Stringer Funeral Home. Calling hours will be 1-3pm with a service at 3pm. Reception will follow at the Claremont Country Club. A private burial will be held at a later date.
