Paul George Tisdale, 77, died peacefully at the Jack Byrne Center for Palliative & Hospice Care in Lebanon, NH Saturday morning, September 16 ,2023 after a brief illness.

He was born in Windsor, VT on April 12, 1946, the son of Marion Tisdale (Rich) Barton and George Tisdale. Paul was enlisted in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1969.  He is a Vietnam veteran.  While in country he was a supply specialist attached to the 5th Maintenance Bn.  In 1971 he Joined the U.S. Air Force and was accepted into the Airman Education and Commissioning Program and achieved the rank of Captain. He retired in 1988.

He married Linda M. Kidder on June 20, 1970, at the Ascutney Union Church in Ascutney, VT.  The surviving family includes his wife, Linda Kidder Tisdale of Las Vegas, NV and Claremont, NH; two sons, David P. Tisdale of Lynnwood, Washington; Stephen B. Tisdale and his wife, Guinevere of W. Lebanon, NH.  A sister, Linda Willard and her husband, Nathan of Reading VT. A Brother-in-law, Robert Kidder and his wife Linda of Ascutney, VT.  He leaves a large loving family of nieces and nephews.

Paul was a member of the Windsor Elks #1665 where he served as Exalted Ruler, and was a member of The American Legion Post #0025, Windsor, VT.

The Celebration of his life will be at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad St. in Claremont, NH. 2 to 4PM. On Friday, September 22, 2023.  At 3:30 there will be a Elks Memorial Service.  A reception to follow at the Windsor Elk Lodge #1665, 156 Main Street, Windsor VT, from 4:30 to 6:30. Committal in the Vermont Veterans Cemetery in Randolph, VT will take place on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at 11AM with full military honors.
