Paula Marie Cote, 69, of Newport, NH passed away on February 24, 2024 peacefully at home with family after her short battle with cancer.

Paula was born on August 8,1954 to Anne Francis McGowen and William George Wright in Boston Massachusetts.

Paula was employed at Valley Regional Hospital for 26 years; she was the Health Unit Coordinator in the Emergency Department. She was a dedicated hard-working individual who was known by her coworkers as the mom of the department.

Paula was an amazing mother, grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed spending her time with her daughters, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and most of all her cat Simon. Paula loved taking rides to the ocean to enjoy seafood and the breathtaking views of the lighthouses, this was truly her place of peace. She enjoyed shopping trips with her friends and seeing her favorite band play.  She had such an outgoing personality she made true friends no matter where she went.  Paula was truly an angel.

Paula is survived by her daughters Cindy Stevens, Marcy Tapman-Contois and her spouse Glen Contois. Grandchildren: Austin Tapman and his spouse Kelci Tapman, Ethan Tapman Contois, Emily Stevens, James Stevens, Ainsley Ash, Hudson Ash, Ryley Kirker, Mikayla Contois, Damon Contois. Great Grandchildren; Masen Tapman, Savannah Tapman, Ganon Huot and Lincoln Huot. Brother Bill Wright, his wife Elaine Wright and many cousins. She is predeceased by her mother, father and her best friend and cat Simon.

Visiting hours will be held at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont on Thursday, February 29th from 4 to 6 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Patrick's Church in Newport, on Friday, March 1, 2024, at 1:00 PM.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, March 8, 2024, from 6 to 11 pm at the Claremont Country Club.
