Peter Hickey, 90, passed peacefully on November 6 ^th , 2022.

He was born on September 9, 1932.

Peter served as a Claremont police officer for 20 years, retiring as Captain.  Peter enjoyed spending time outdoors — golfing, biking, fishing, cross country skiing or just walking through the woods.  Peter was an unpretentious and giving man who loved to read when he wasn't enjoying the outdoors.  He was known for his good humor and hearty laugh; he will be missed.

He is survived by his children, Karen, Shawn, Diane and Debra, his daughter-in-law Linda, and grandchildren, Tess and Elijah.

He is predeceased by his sister Doris Gierko, ex-wife Anne, his son Michael, and his partner of over 40 years, Angela Maynes.

A Celebration of Life event will be held at the Senior Center, 5 Acer Heights Rd in Claremont on Saturday, December 10th from 12-3pm.
