Phyllis Blish, 93, of Claremont, NH passed away on November 17, 2023 at her home.

She was born in Claremont, NH on September 9, 1930 the daughter of Curtis Frank and Irene Annie (Stone) Mills.

Phyllis had started working in area shoe shops at the age of 16. Including International Shoe Shop, Newport Shoe and Encore Shoe.

She enjoyed ice skating, roller skating, swimming, knitting, crocheting, playing bingo, her garden and blueberry plants. She liked to go to the Rutland Fair and Benson Animal Farm with her family. She loved spending time with her family at cookouts and the holidays.

She was predeceased by her husband, Leon Blish Jr; two grandsons, Robert Henry Jr and Keith Swazey; two sisters, Arlene Stevens and Josephine Beebe and one brother, Frank Mills.

Phyllis is survived by her children, Gary Blish and his wife, Linda, Irene Barnard and Nancy Henry; 4 grandchildren; three great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held at Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont on Wednesday, November 22nd from 10 to 11AM. Funeral service will be at 11AM with Priscilla Hull officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
