Robert Joseph Derosier passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 27, 2025.  He was 83 years old.  Robert was born on July 20, 1941 in Newark, NJ.  When he was 12 years old, he moved with his parents, Joseph and Irene, to the Claremont area.  Robert attended Stevens High School before enlisting in the United States Army in 1959 where he served as a Teletype Operator overseas in Germany .  Upon his return home from the Army in 1963, he married his childhood sweetheart, Kathleen (Cornish) Derosier on July 13, 1963.  They were blessed to spend the last 62 years together.  Throughout his life, Robert was self-employed as a painter and wallpaper hanger for 40 years and then retired from CSI in 2008.  He was a lover of Jesus and spent much of his life dedicated to service.  Robert was a Deacon, trustee, a member of the choir and worship team, a leader in the Family of God Prayer and Towards Marriage Groups as well as the Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship. In addition, Robert loved spending time with his family, listening to music, gardening and building.  Whether it was installing an inground pool (often learning as he went) with his brother or putting an addition on the house, there wasn't anything he couldn't build.  Family reunions with both sides of the family were always something Robert enjoyed.  He especially enjoyed summer vacations in New Hampshire with his brother Richard and his wife Carol and their two daughters over the years.  Robert and his brothers were known for their spirited card games that often led to friendly reminders not to yell or cheat, but to play nice.  He shared his love of card games with his son, nephews and grandsons.  You couldn't have asked for a better family man and friend than Robert.  He was a kind and gentle man who had a great impact on all who met him.  He will be dearly missed by his wife Kathleen (Cornish) Derosier, daughter Marie Derosier, son Michael and his wife Lori Derosier.  Robert also leaves behind grandchildren Tori DeCarlo and husband Anthony DeCarlo, Jacob Derosier and Matthew Derosier.  Great grandchildren Mason Riehle and Adrianna Decarlo.  His sister Florence Kozell, Newport, NH and brothers Ronald and wife Pauline Derosier, Rosaire and wife Ann Derosier both of Claremont, NH and many nieces and nephews.  Robert is predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Irene (Fluet) Derosier and his brother Richard Derosier.

Please join us to celebrate Robert's life on Friday, May 9, 2025 at Stringer's Funeral Home in Claremont, NH.  Visiting hour will be from 10:00-11:00 followed by a graveside service officiated by Reverend Scott Kearns at Union Cemetery.  After the service at the cemetery, a reception will be held at the Claremont Senior Center, 5 Acer Heights Road, Claremont, NH.
