Robert "Bob" Charles Lovell, 72, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Valley Regional Hospital, Claremont, NH surrounded by family and loved ones.

Robert was born on May 10, 1951 in Springfield, VT, the son of William C. Lovell and Rosamond (Magwire) Lovell. He attended Springfield Schools and graduated Springfield High School Class of 1969. Robert worked various professions including restaurant, machine tool, paper mill, cabinet making, and social work. He was always a dedicated and hard worker. On May 18, 1974 Robert married Rose Jarvis. They raised their family in Weathersfield, VT.

Robert was an avid fisherman and was happiest on the bank of one of his favorite fishing holes chasing the "big one." He loved photography and photographed many graduations and weddings for friends. His other hobbies included painting, woodworking, birdwatching and nature. Robert also loved spending time with his grandchildren, where joking and giggling could always be heard.

He was predeceased by his parents and his sister Ruth Corliss.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Rose Lovell of Claremont, NH; son Daniel and his wife Hilary of Ellicott City, MD; son Joshua and his wife Julie of Charlestown, NH; two sisters, Bonnie Harrington and her husband Ramon of Charlestown, NH and Beatrice Merrill and her husband Robert of Springfield, VT; two brothers, Peter and William, Jr., both of Springfield, VT; eight grandchildren, Jakob, Tori, Orin, Nolan, Jamie, Taylor, Erin, and Liam; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at a later date.
