With deep sadness the children of Roland Henry Pond Jr announce his passing on February 20th 2024. Roland was born in Holyoke, Massachusetts on September 2nd 1960, to Roland Pond Sr and Joan (Bessette) Pond.

Roland was a skilled painter for most of his career. He worked almost 30 years for Lake Sunapee Painting.

Roland was an avid NY Giants fan, his love for the Giants passed down to him from his father and then he passed this down to his children.

Roland will be remembered for his free spirit, often known to travel, pick up and move and his favorite past time was riding his motorcycle.

Roland has now joined his two special angels, his daughter Rolanda and granddaughter Jamisyn Grace.

Roland's biggest blessings in this life were the children he leaves behind , his sons Roland Henry Pond III, Michael Steven Pond (fiance-Chelsea), and Cory James Pond, his daughters Stefanie Lynn Politza, Tiffany Jean Pond, and Samantha Lee Rogers (husband-Dean). He cherished his precious grandchildren Kody, Devon, Blake, Kiley, Naevah, Nathan, Kian, Skylar, Hayden, Jamisyn, Navy, Jensen, Abel, Wyatt, Reese, and Leland.

Roland was blessed to have a large family, and had a special bond with each of his seven siblings, when they got together, the volume of their conversations left outsiders thinking they may be arguing when in fact they were just catching up. He was the firstborn son of their family. He leaves behind four sisters, Margaret (Butch) Trayah, Marlene Gratacos, Arlene (William) Collins, and Bernadette (Jeff) Tyminski, and three brothers Kurt Pond, Eric (Melissa) Pond, and Brian (Lori) Pond.

Roland also leaves behind Holly, his significant other, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Roland was predeceased in death by his mother Joan and his father Roland, his daughter Rolanda, and his granddaughter Jamisyn.

A celebration of Roland's life will be held on Saturday March 23, 2024 at the Elks in Springfield VT from 5p-9p. Please come and share a memory, tell a joke, share some food, have a drink, listen to music, and remember all the happiness he brought us all.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CDH International, in memory of his granddaughter Jamisyn.
