Sandra Lee (Patton) Wallace, 83, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2026 in Rye, New Hampshire.

Sandra was born on September 13, 1942, in Claremont, New Hampshire, the only child of H. Gordon Patton and Dorothy E. (Hawkins) Patton. Born and raised in Claremont, she graduated from Stevens High School in 1960. As a child, Sandra had the prestigious honor of serving as a child model for Little Miss Sunbeam Bread.

After high school, Sandra went on to marry her forever husband, Royal Andrew Wallace III. Together, they built a life and raised their family in Newport and Claremont, New Hampshire. Drawn by their shared love of the ocean, they retired to the New Hampshire Seacoast in 1999.

During her working years, Sandra briefly served alongside Royal as an emergency medical technician with the Newport Ambulance Service. She later earned her real estate license and worked in real estate until finishing her career in the office of Claremont Gas Light Company.

Sandra loved the ocean, shopping with her daughter, and decorating. Her closet held something for every occasion, including an impressive collection of shoes, tops, accessories, and lots of makeup! Her artistic eye allowed her to transform any room, most often with the tropical décor she loved. Her home reflected her colorful personality and fondness for warm, seaside surroundings and twinkle lights.

Sandra showed her love by taking care of everyone in her family. Her home was always open to anyone and immaculately clean. She was constantly making sure everyone’s belly was full—and never let anyone go long without asking if they needed another water! She was known to always show up for holidays with plenty of cheese and crackers!

Sandra also treasured a relaxing afternoon cocktail with Royal. She would enjoy her Smirnoff vodka while he sipped a bourbon Manhattan, as they danced in the living room —one of the many simple rituals they shared during their life together.

Sandra and Royal had two children: Keith G. Wallace, who sadly passed away on July 28, 2025, and Michele L. (Wallace) Wilson and her husband, Norm Wilson, of Barrington, New Hampshire.

Sandra is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Alicia Langille and her husband, Charles, of Bennington, New Hampshire; Charles Zachary Wallace of Claremont, New Hampshire; Danielle L. McGrail and her husband, Scott, of Hampton, New Hampshire; and Alexis A. Parliman and her partner, Luis Gonzalez, of Portsmouth, New Hampshire. She is also survived by her beloved great-granddaughter, Scarlett Maeve McGrail of Hampton, New Hampshire. Sandra also leaves behind her grandsons, Andrew Sarnevitz Wallace and Jacob Sarnevitz Wallace, both of Sunapee, New Hampshire.

She is further survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews, as well as lifelong friends from Newport, Claremont, Seabrook and Hampton, NH.

Sandra’s life was centered on the family she and Royal created, the communities she called home, and the New Hampshire Seacoast she loved. Her creativity, distinctive sense of style, caring nature, and colorful spirit will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

A graveside service for Sandra will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Mountain View Cemetery in Claremont, New Hampshire with Pastor Dan Odom of the Hampton Falls Baptist Church, officiating. All are welcome.
