Obituary

Sara (St. Pierre) Harris, 46, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, NH, passed away on October 12, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on June 4, 1980, Sara was the daughter of Fred and the late Debbie St. Pierre. She was a 1998 graduate of Fall Mountain Regional High School. On April 22, 2006, she married Richard Harris, and together they built a life centered around their two boys, Clynton and Austyn, who were her greatest pride and joy.

Being a mom was Sara's favorite role, and she loved watching her boys grow into their own personalities. She was so proud of Clynton's green thumb and his growing interest in fixing things and being handy around the house. She was equally excited about Austyn's newfound love of football. Sara couldn't wait to become a football mom and was pretty confident she'd be good at it!

Sara worked for 21 years at Valley Regional Hospital as a Patient Accounting Representative, building lasting friendships and connections along the way.

Sara had a special place in her heart for children. She was actively involved in the Charlestown Area PTA and spent many years coaching basketball. Whether it was her own boys, her nieces and nephews, or the countless kids she coached, Sara was always there to cheer them on, lend a hand, or do whatever was needed. She loved watching kids play sports and took great pride in being part of their lives.

Sara was also involved in the Claremont Karting Series, where she enjoyed supporting kids and families.

A kidney transplant recipient for 24 years, Sara faced more challenges in her life than most could imagine. Through it all, she continued to show strength, determination, and a willingness to help others. She never let the challenges she faced take away from the love she had for her family or the joy she found in being part of the lives of so many children.

Sara is survived by her loving husband, Richard Harris; her sons, Clynton and Austyn Harris; her father, Fred St. Pierre; her sister, Julie Martin, and her husband, Alton; her sister, April Royce, and her husband, Tanner; and her brother, Greg St. Pierre, and his wife, Jennifer.

She also leaves behind her beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family, including Megan and her son, Liam; Holly and Ricardo and their children, Natalya, Adrian, and Lukas; Megan and her daughter, Remi; Dominic; Bryson and Devyn; Ayla and Elyn; Colton and Brooklyn; and Chloe and Ryinn.

Sara was predeceased by her loving mother, Debbie St. Pierre.

Sara had a way of making the kids in her life feel important, supported, and loved. She was always willing to give her time, lend a hand, or simply be there when someone needed her. While 46 years was nowhere near enough, Sara leaves behind a lifetime of memories and countless children and families whose lives are better because she was part of them. Her greatest legacy will always be the love she gave, especially to her two boys.

Visiting Hours will be held at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont, NH on Friday, October 16th from 4 to 7PM. Funeral services will be held at the Funeral Home, on Saturday, October 17th at 11AM with burial to follow in St. Mary Cemetery next to her mother. A reception will follow at the VFW on Lovers Lane Road in Charlestown, NH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Sara’s memory to the Charlestown Recreation Department, Cosmo Football, or the Claremont Karting Series, three organizations that reflect her love of children, sports, and her community.
