Shirley (Cousie) A. Rivet LaPointe, 81, of Claremont, NH passed away on April 15, 2023 at Cedar Hill Nursing Home. She had several visitors coming and going as her time approached.

She was born at Claremont General Hospital, now Valley Regional Hospital on March 12, 1942, the daughter of Louis Rivet and Shirley (Hart) Rivet.

She worked in accounting at Claremont Savings Bank for 34 years, retiring in 2008.

Shirley loved the outdoors, camping, knitting and spending time with family. She loved having company. She lovingly took care of her son Keith LaPointe who had Down's Syndrome and other medical conditions until his passing in 1991. She loved her family immensely.

Her family includes her daughter, Jodie LaPointe Massi; her son, Curt LaPointe and his wife, Charlene LaPointe; four grandsons, Chase Massi, Garrett Massi, Jacob LaPointe, and Jarrett LaPointe; her sister, Carol LeClair; her brother, Louis Rivet and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Hank LaPointe and her son, Keith LaPointe.

Visiting hours will be held at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont on Thursday, April 20 ^th (Hank's birthday) from 6 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St Mary Church in Claremont on Friday morning, April 21 ^st at 11 AM. Burial will follow in St Mary Cemetery.
