Stephen "Steve" Joyce, 66, of White River Junction, VT passed away on August 21, 2023. His fierce battle with cancer showed his courage for facing life's challenges with a smile.

He was born in Presque Isle, Maine to Reverend John O. Joyce and Katheryne E. Ogden.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman with a passion for the outdoors and wildlife. He enjoyed boating and fishing on Lake Champlain. In addition, he was well known in the family for his amazing green thumb. His home was filled with many different kinds of house plants.

He is survived by his wife, Rosemarie Joyce; children, Stephanie Joyce, Ryan Joyce, Casy Joyce and Jonathan Joyce; stepchildren, Jessica Reynolds, Jessica Stephens and Ashley Stanford; his siblings, Tammy Joyce Hoffman, Penny Belongie and Scott Anthony Joyce; 10 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his father, Rev. John Joyce; mother, Katheryne (Ogden) Schellbach and his first wife and mother of his children, Rita Joyce.

A short graveside gathering will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at the Trinity Cemetery/Church in Cornish, NH (231 NH-12A) at 12 PM. This will be followed by a Celebration of Life with a light lunch and refreshments. Note: There is no restroom at the location of the Celebration of Life.
