Theodore J. Rouillard Jr. died peacefully on September 29, 2023, at Summercrest Assisted Living where he had been residing for the past year.  Born in Claremont, NH on September 3, 1934, he was the son of Theodore J. Rouillard, Sr. and Anita Remy Rouillard.

Upon graduation from Stevens High School in 1952, he served as a Navy Corpsman during the Korean Conflict from 1952-1956.

His career included Dixons Super Duper Market, owner of Claremont Maintenance, and store manager of the Hanover Food Co-Op, Hanover, NH for 20 years.  After he retired from full-time work, he worked part-time as a merchandiser for Nabisco Cookie and Bisquit Co, and part-time as a produce clerk for Hannaford Supermarkets. What he valued most about his career was visiting with customers who became his life-long friends.

Ted served as a Board Member of the Hanover Credit Union Loan Committee.  He also served as a Eucharistic Minister of St. Mary Church, Claremont and was a 3rd and 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus – Council 1820, and a past member of the Claremont Country Club.

Ted was most proud of his family.  In 1984, the Rouillard clan started family vacations together even as the family grew and continued until he and Anne were no longer able to join in.  He insisted the family continue the tradition.  He frequently commented on how lucky he was to have a family who always wanted to visit him.

He was predeceased by his parents and brother Laurence.

He is survived by his wife, Anne Belden Rouillard whom he married on May 21, 1961, and his children Karen and Curtis Barry, Scott and Tracey Rouillard, Susan and Philip Fratini, and Kathryn and Alex Scott, his grandchildren Delia Barry, Jeremiah Barry, Quentin Barry, Abbey Rouillard, Bryar Rouillard and partner Teagan Michaud, Korey and Natalie Fratini, Kristin (Fratini) and James Olsen, Hannah Scott, Elyse Scott and her fiancé, Aidan Cahill and 3 great-grandchildren, Logan and Myla Olsen and Aspen Rouillard. He is also survived by his brothers Tom and Joan Rouillard and Jack and Diana Rouillard and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be at the Stringer Funeral Home, Claremont, October 5, 2023, from 5-7pm.  A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary Church, Claremont, October 6, 2023, at 11am. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery with military honors.
