Theresa A. Tetreault, long time former resident of Claremont, NH, passed away peacefully in CT on Friday, April 26, 2024.  She was 97.

She was born in Claremont on March 25, 1927 and graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1944. She lived on Mann Court in Claremont until late 2015, when she moved to MA and later CT near her daughter Christine and husband Bob.  She worked until she was 80 years old at various downtown Claremont stores, including the Corner Book, Fishman's and Brooks Pharmacy. In nice weather, she often walked to work from Mann Court to downtown Claremont.

She loved cats, the color purple, flowers and a good hot cup of tea. She was a voracious reader of fiction books, especially Danielle Steele. She loved music - from Hee Haw, Neil Diamond and Glenn Campbell to Michael Buble. In her younger years she enjoyed dancing at the Top Hat and Roseland Ball Room.

She is survived by her loving family: daughter Sandra and husband Brent Diesel of Dover, NH and son Christopher Diesel and fiancé Nichole Saccoccia; daughter Christine and husband Robert King of Guilford, CT and daughter Glenna McPartland and son Max McPartland and his partner Sarah Kristeller; son Paul and wife Lori Tetreault of Newport, NH and their son Joshua and wife Kendyl Tetreault and son Joseph; son Jeremy and wife Malory Tetreault and their sons Lawson and Mack; son David Tetreault of MA and daughters Kate and Molly Tetreault. She was predeceased by her parents Adelina and Milford Bonneau, sister Blanche Bonneau and ex-husband John Tetreault.

Friends are invited to visiting hours and a Catholic blessing at Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street, Claremont, NH on Friday May 3, 2024, noon to 2 pm. Private family burial to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local library or cat adoption shelter.
