Todd Douglas Osgood, 61 of Claremont NH died unexpectedly at DHMC on Friday February 23, 2024.  Todd was born in Windsor VT on November 22, 1962, and was the son of Ralph and Janice Osgood of Newport, NH.  Todd attended (occasionally) school in Windsor VT and began working with his father Ralph immediately after school welding and fabricating at Ralph and Janice's residence.  They quickly outgrew that space and along with his father, brother Kevin and his mother Janice moved the business to Claremont, NH where he worked until Ralph and Janice retired.  From there, he and his wife Angie built their business, Osgood Construction where he worked until his death.  As a youngster, he loved racing motocross, spending time on a large dairy farm in Highgate VT during his summers off from school and being on Allen Whipple Jr.'s race car pit crew.  Other hobbies included snowmobiling with his wife, children, nephews, and grandchildren, he always loved a good race across the lake and breakfast loops as he called them, grooming the snowmobile trails in Stratford NH, jet skiing, and spending time with his son and grandchildren at the motocross track.   He loved teaching his sons and nephews how to run equipment.  He loved having friends and family over for cookouts.  Ultimately, work was his most time consuming "hobby", he was a brilliant businessman and mechanical and engineering genius.

He is survived by his wife  Angela Osgood, former wife Tracey Osgood, his children Bradley Osgood of Claremont, Ashley Ayotte, her husband Jim of Claremont,  Brandon Osgood of Claremont,  a brother Kevin Osgood, his wife Debbie of Reading, a sister Lori Tetreault, her husband Paul  of Newport, his grandchildren Morgan Ayotte, Parker Fowler, and Jaxxon Ayotte all of Claremont, 3 nephews  Josh Tetreault, his wife Kendyl of Newport, Jeremy Tetreault, his wife Malory of Newport NH, Matthew Slack of Charlestown, five nieces Samantha Berrio, her husband Brad, Darci Blanchard, her husband Abe, Lexis Osgood, her partner Brandon, all of Reading VT,  Liliandra, her partner Tanner Ballard  of Charlestown, and Amelia Slack of Georges Mills, Mother in law Sandy Miller of Unity, brother in law Paul Slack, his wife Amanda of Georges Mills, and sister in law Cheryl Boardman of Claremont.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, several aunts, uncles and his precious granddaughter Kaylyn.

Services will be held at Stringer's Funeral Home on Saturday March 9 from 12 to 3.  He will be laid to rest at the Union Cemetery where there will be a brief committal.  Following will be a celebration of life at the Osgood residence at 16 Fielding Place catered by Bloods Seafood and of course open bar as Todd would insist.  Staff will be ready to receive guests as early as 12:15 if you choose not to go to the committal.  Please feel free to dress casually for the services.
