Wayne Thomas Piekarski passed away suddenly on September 6, 2023.  He was born in New Haven, CT.  He lived and grew up in North Haven, CT.

He leaves behind his wife of 30 years, Francesca (Amore) Piekarski, his stepson, Dana Pirovane and his granddaughter, Keira Pirovane.  He also is survived by his brothers, Robert (Norma) Piekarski, Mark (Marcy) Piekarski, and Eric (Nancy) Piekarski, also many nieces and nephews, sisters and brothers- in-law.  Wanye was predeceased by his father, Henry Piekarski Sr., his mother, Shirley (Dyson) Piekarski and brothers, William and Hank respectively.

He attended North Haven High School where he graduated. He then joined the US Air Force, where he gave his dedication and service to his country.  Wayne and his wife moved to NH 23 years ago to live their dream on a lake which he enjoyed for 23 years.  Wayne worked for Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center for 6 years before moving on to the Town of Hanover where he worked for 17 years. He was much loved and well respected by his employers and co-workers alike.  Wayne worked hard and played hard and enjoyed life to the fullest.  He loved boating, fishing, football (Vikings), baseball (Red Sox), and Nascar. Spending Sundays alternating between games and racing.  Wayne was an avid music fan and loved going to concerts and music festivals with his wife and friends.  He especially loved spending time boating at the lake and sitting around a campfire with his lake family of friends laughing, joking, dancing, and having a few beers.  Another of his favorite pastimes was playing with his doggie buddy, Charlie.  Always throwing a frisbee or ball or taking him for ice cream on his boat.  Wayne will be missed by everyone and all who knew him.

A celebration of Life Service will be held on October 14th at 2 PM at the R W Black Community Center at 48 Lebanon Street, Hanover, NH.
