William Aloysius Regan, III, passed away after a brief illness on January 2, 2023 at Dartmouth Health with his family at his side.

Bill was born on September 20, 1958 in Mahopac, NY. He graduated from Cheshire High School in 1977 and Bryant University in 1981. He moved to Lebanon, NH in 1989 where he met his wife, Johanna, and began his career in property maintenance with Davidson, Gourley and Acker and then transitioned to a successful sales career at Therma-Flow Inc., representing their company throughout New England. He retired from sales in October of 2019 and, not yet ready to lead a more sedentary lifestyle and utilizing his considerable experience with long distance driving, he accepted an opportunity for a part-time position at McGee Toyota in Claremont, NH, delivering cars to their customers. Being the outgoing and social person that he is, he enjoyed meeting their customers and valued new-found friendships with his colleagues at the dealership.

Bill was a very skilled carpenter who renovated two homes and designed their retirement home. He was often called upon to lend a hand to friends and family members who weren't as handy, and was always happy to help. He enjoyed using his woodworking skills to make beautiful wooden butcher blocks for his family and friends. He was a very proud and patriotic American, and also proud of his Irish heritage. Billy was passionate about politics and served on the city council for Claremont, NH. He was a lover of sports and an enthusiastic Yankees and Giants fan. He loved shopping -- for everybody-- kids, grandkids, family and friends. He was a man of great integrity, funny and loud, loyal and loving, and never too shy to share his opinion. But most importantly, Bill was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, son, brother, and a loyal and supportive friend and will be profoundly missed by all who loved him.

He is survived by Johanna Regan, his wife of 27 years; his daughter's family, Lindsay and Ralph Farnsworth and their children Grace and Griffin Farnsworth; son Matthew Batchelder; father William Regan Jr.; three siblings and their families: brother Wayne and Diane Regan and their children Kelsey and Shane Earley and Elizabeth Regan; sister Melanie Regan and her son's family, Jamie and Gina Edson and their son Leonardo James Edson; brother Michael and Dianna Regan and their sons, Lance and Alexander Regan; as well as many loving cousins and extended family and friends. He is predeceased by his mother, Geraldine Regan.

The family would like to thank the nursing and medical staff at Dartmouth Health for the outstanding care and compassion extended to him and his family during his illness.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday January 21 ^st at St. Mary's Church. Visiting hours will be held Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 at the Stringer Funeral Home prior to the Mass.

A celebration of life will follow at The Common Man Restaurant.
